What to do on arrival?

Depending on where you arrive (airport, cruise ship port or train station) the booking voucher will indicate what to do and where to go. Kindly follow those instructions to find your representative/driver.

How can I find my vehicle?

You can find the instructions on the booking voucher, which is generated electronically at the time of booking. Please ensure that you travel with the booking voucher, as this will be essential for you to meet with the representative/driver.

Waiting times at airports

Shared transportation: Standard waiting time is 60 minutes from the time you register with our representatives, please check your voucher for details. In the event that your flight is delayed and we offer a free reassignment, if there was availability on the next available service to your resort, please note that the waiting time may be longer.

Private transfer: Your driver will wait up to 1 hour maximum from the point the flight lands, unless the agreement with the agency indicates otherwise.  

Will the driver drop me off and pick me up at my accommodation?

Private transfers: Giovanni Bus Travel, when possible, will operate a door to door service. There may be occasions when this is not possible due to local restrictions.Where these restrictions apply, drivers will drop off and pick up at the nearest access point.

Shared Transfers: The shuttle service, being a shared service, does not allow to always stop in front of the door of each hotel. Therefore, GIOVANNI BUS TRAVEL has established a series of stops and nearby meeting points for the different hotels, making it possible to shorten the transfer time.

You can ask the representative if your hotel has a stop.

What is the duration of my trip?

Travel times are estimates and are applicable for a normal day trip. It is possible that these times may vary depending on the time of day, local road closures or detours, traffic volume, etc.

What to do on departure?

As indicated on your reservation voucher, the time and place of pick-up will be sent to your agency and to your hotel, if it allows it, 48 hours before departure. You can also check the time using your provider reference number at giovanni bus travel pickup

Please note that you must arrive at the pickup location 10-15 minutes prior to the pickup time. The driver will not wait more than 10 minutes of the indicated pick-up time.

Baggage Allowance

The amount allowed per person is one standard size suitcase (61-70 cm high) and one small piece of hand luggage (small backpack, handbag, or purse, not a small suitcase). Please note that you may take your hand luggage with you, which must be placed in the carry-on baggage allowance or under your own seat. 

You must contact your agency at least 48 hours before the transfer if you are travelling with excess luggage, such as large suitcases, additional bags outside the baggage allowance, since additional transport may be necessary to accommodate the excess luggage, which will incur additional costs. 

If you are travelling with: golf clubs, wheelchairs, skis, baby carriages, etc., it is imperative that these extras have been paid for in the booking first.        Please note: if you do not inform your agency, additional transportation may be required to accommodate excess baggage, which will incur additional costs if there is availability to provide the service.

Traveling with babies and children

Local and national laws regarding the use of child seats for infants 0-2 years and children 3-11 years apply.

Transportation services are normally provided by minibus or coach and in these vehicles it is not possible to use a child seat since the vehicles do not have compatible seats.If you book a private transfer, the use of booster seats or child seats for children under 12 years old, or up to 135 cm, is mandatory for safety reasons and you must notify your agency at least 48 hours before the transfer. Please note that these types of seats are subject to an additional charge.

Transfers for passengers with reduced mobility (wheelchair use required)

Only in private services, where you have notified your agency in advance with a minimum of 48 hours and when there is availability, we can offer this extra with an additional cost.

 You should also inform your agency if the wheelchair is manual, its’ dimensions, as well as if it is foldable or not, and if you can get into and out of the vehicle without assistance.   

If you need assistance getting into the vehicle or if a motorized wheelchair is used, then you should book a vehicle adapted to the wheelchair. Check with your agency for conditions.

Policy on inappropriate behaviour and abusive language

Giovanni Bus reserves the right to refuse transportation to anyone who believes to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In addition, any person whose behaviour and/or language is considered abusive and may cause a threat or an offense to the receptionist, driver or any other passenger, or damage to the vehicle. Services not performed for the above reasons will not be reimbursed. For any damage caused to the vehicles, the person performing the service will be held responsible for the charges incurred.

How can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your reservation directly with your agency, Giovanni Bus Travel cannot accept cancellations directly from the end user.

Modifications to journey details prior to travel date

Any modification must be sent by your agency and received by Giovanni Bus Travel at least 36 hours before the service, we cannot accept modifications directly from the end user.

What happens if my outbound flight is delayed?

All flights are monitored, you do not need to contact Giovanni Bus Travel if your flight is delayed. In the case of private transfers, we will automatically modify your pick-up time. In the case of shared transport service, if there is availability you will be offered a free reassignment in the next available service that goes to your resort.  Please note that the availability of the shared transport cannot be booked or saved by phone, but is according to the time of contact with the representatives.All flights are monitored, you do not need to contact Giovanni Bus Travel if your flight is delayed. In the case of private transfers, we will automatically modify your pick-up time. In the case of shared transport service, if there is availability you will be offered a free reassignment in the next available service that goes to your resort.

What happens if my outbound flight is cancelled?

In order to accept the cancellation of the reservation due to the cancellation of the flight, Giovanni Bus Travel must receive the cancellation in writing from your agency at least 6 hours before the scheduled arrival or departure. Check with your agency the possibility of reassigning a new transfer, so as not to lose the reservation.
